IN cheerleader dead, high school football player arrested

Aaron Trejo, 16, a Mishawaka High School athlete, was arrested and charged as an adult with one count of murder and one count of feticide after 17-year-old Breana Rouhselang's body was discovered Sunday in a dumpster behind a restaurant near the victim's home.

Authorities say a 16-year-old boy is suspected in the death of a 17-year-old pregnant schoolmate whose body was found near her northern in home in a restaurant's dumpster.

Trejo told police he was the father of Rouhselang's unborn child and that the two of them had gotten into a fight about the pregnancy and said that she had waited too long to get an abortion, the court documents stated.

When 17-year-old Breana Rouhselang stopped answering her phone on Saturday afternoon, her family "got the feeling that something wasn't right and called police", authorities say. Rouhselang, who was six months pregnant, was found dead Sunday morning near her home in Mishawaka, north of Indianapolis.

CNN affiliate WNDU reported that Breana had been a cheerleader and softball player at Mishawaka High School.

A GoFundMe to help Breana's family can be found here. He was arrested Sunday and is due to be arraigned Tuesday.

Police later found her body in a dumpster behind a business, Arendt said.

Alex Arendt of the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit said Trejo is in custody at the St. Joseph County Jail and is being held without bond. Trejo also allegedly told the anxious mother that "he had lost his cell phone so she could not call him back later".

Agree to temporary truce on new auto tariffs
The meeting will also be a test of the personal chemistry between the two leaders, which Trump has hailed as a warm friendship. U.S. president on Saturday agreed to not raise the tariff rate on goods imported from China , the White House announced .

"I took action-I took her life", he said in an interview with detectives. Trejo told investigators he had been planning the killing for about a week and hadn't told anyone.

After a brief break, I, Detective Mullins, began to ask pointed questions of Aaron and confronted him with the fact that the physical evidence was not going to support his story and that I suspected Aaron knew more than he was telling.

Alexis Humphries who was also friends with Breana, added: 'I think it's terrible.

An autopsy found that Rouhselang died from multiple stab wounds, and that a scarf she had been wearing at the time was tied so tightly that she was being strangled before she died, according to the affidavit.

"They've known each other long before they came together - she as a manager and he as a football player - at Mishawaka High School", he said.

Mishawaka High School will make counsellors available to students.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members and friends who have been affected by this great loss.
