It's been a bumpy ride but pop star Miley Cyrus has confirmed her marriage to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth.

"This is probably our one - millionth kiss." she captioned one photo, while simply captioning another, "12.23.18".

It looks like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are now husband and wife. The ceremony reportedly took place at their home in Franklin, Tennessee. There were some whispers past year that they were secretly planning a wedding but a source close to the couple told TMZ that Miley and Liam had no plans to marry.

They first started dating after meeting on the sets of Nicholas Sparks' 2010 film "The Last Song".

"This makes me so happy", he said.

Rumors swirled around the couple after a friend, surfer Conrad Jack Carr, posted photos and videos on his Instagram page.

They'd met the previous June and found an instant connection but spent five years enduring break-ups and reconciliations, even calling off their 2012 engagement on more than one occasion. He also posted a photo of them with words "My love". "Miley's family always loved Liam".
