Leicester City captain Wes Morgan grudging in praise of Newport County

Newport County produced the biggest shock of the weekend in the FA Cup, with the League Two side beating Leicester City 2-1 in Wales.

Leicester's Rachid Ghezzal equalised after Jamille Matt's opener before Michael Flynn's men scored an 85th-minute victor through a Padraig Amond penalty after Marc Albrighton's handball.

Padraig Amond's 85th-minute penalty fired the Welsh side into the fourth round as 2-1 winners, after Mark Albrighton was guilty of a needless handball in the area.

Newport's 2-1 victory against Leicester was their first FA Cup win against a side from the top tier of English football since beating Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of the 1963-64 edition, ending a run of seven matches against such opponents without a win (D3 L4).

Puel has faced pressure in recent weeks and though it was eased by impressive festive wins against Chelsea and Manchester City, the 2-1 defeat to Sky Bet League Two minnows will do him no favours.

Watford booked their spot in the fourth round after crusing to a 2-0 win over Woking.

The FA Cup has lost some sheen in recent years but Oldham and Barnet, along with third-tier Gillingham who beat top-flight Cardiff City on Saturday, revived the magic.

Title race still in Liverpool's hands, says Kompany
The finish was incredible", Guardiola said. "It was not our or City's best game because we both made it hard for the other team", he continued.

"There was a couple of the Leicester players trying to say a few things to me, trying to put me off".

Claudio Ranieri's Fulham reign has got off to a hard start and it got worse for the former Leicester boss at the hands of Pete Wild's Oldham. It is one you have to savour.

"It feels fantastic, a proud moment for me, the boys and the club", former Barnet player Currie, who took over from John Still last month, told the BBC.

"(Sheffield United manager) Chris Wilder said we deserved it too.

The Foxes headed for Rodney Parade off the back of a strong run of form in the Premier League over the Christmas period, but rarely looked like getting the better of the fourth tier side in a thoroughly disappointing display.

The other City scorers were Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Nicolas Otamendi, while there was also an own-goal by Semi Ajayi.
