Super Bowl Odds 2019: Patriots Favorite to Beat Rams

That is, unless the Los Angeles Rams can stop them.

The 53rd Super Bowl is finally here. We'll start with a look at the AFC Champions, the New England Patriots. Los Angeles players will don the royal blue, yellow and white classic threads for the big game, bringing back the iconic ensemble the team wore from 1973 to 1999, when The Greatest Show on Turf won Super Bowl XXXIV. They've also been in the last two Super Bowls, overcoming a 28-3 deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 and then falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017's 41-33 shootout.

The Rams wore this scheme for five other games in 2018.

But for that story to endure, New England needs opponents.

Former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo defends Roger Stone
Mueller's investigation, which was initially ordered to look into the 2016 election, has gone on for more than a year and half. Stone, free on bond, has spent the days since his arrest complaining vociferously about the takedown.

In the last decade, only three Super Bowls have gone over 56.5 points, with the Patriots involved in two occasions.

The 24-year-old Goff, meanwhile, comes into tonight's Super Bowl having completed 40-of-68 passes for 483 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

At +2.5, the Rams have the third-shortest odds of any underdog going into the Super Bowl since the turn of the Millennium. While most of Hollywood is rooting for the Rams, there are still those celebrities who remain die-hard Pats fans despite the Trumpian connotations that are now associated with the team.

Who is in Super Bowl LIII? Adam Kilgore from The Washington Post joined CBSN to preview Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.
