Mavs trade Harrison Barnes mid-game, get bashed by LeBron

Even LeBron James weighed in on the drama and commented on how there is some hypocrisy in the National Basketball Association as players are called out for requesting trades but the GM's get no flack for cutting a guy mid-game.

James posted a video of Barnes's reaction and wrote: "So let me guess this is cool cause they had to do what was best for the franchise right???"

Afterward, veteran Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki spoke about how impressed he was with Barnes for staying on the bench. "I'm ok with both honestly, truly am". "Just call [a spade a spade]!"

As many National Basketball Association fans have seen, Harrison Barnes was just traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Sacramento Kings.

As of Wednesday night, four former UNC players have now been traded before the deadline including Wayne Ellington and Reggie Bullock.

The post was liked by Anthony Davis, who has been at the center of trade talks for nearly two weeks since he requested to be dealt by the Pelicans.

LeBron James wants the "narrative" around player movement to change.

Mavericks agree to trade for Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis
Porzingis hasn't played in the 2018-19 season as he continues to recover from an ACL injury he suffered a year ago . He was enjoying an All-Star season when he got hurt past year , averaging a career-high 22.7 points per game.

The 26-year-old Barnes was taken with the seventh overall pick back in 2012 by the Warriors, before joining the Mavericks ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Vucevic's and Dragic's agent, Bill Duffy, also represents Doncic, who on Wednesday recorded his third triple-double: 19 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds.

Barnes is no sure bet to opt-in next season.

James thinks it's hypocritical for fans to have no problem with teams making moves like this to do what's best for them while players get negative publicity for demanding a trade to improve their situation.

And on Wednesday night, the King made sure to let us know just how ticked off he is with the National Basketball Association trade deadline a day away.

The Mavericks now have $13.1 million in room to use at the trade deadline or up until June 30.

Barnes didn't deserve this kind of treatment from Dallas. Barnes has a player-option on his $25 million deal for the 2019-2020 season.
