No Indian movie will be released in Pakistan: Fawad Chaudhry

The Indian Air Force early on Tuesday morning carried out a pre-emptive strike on the biggest Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in Balakot, which is located in Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa area.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi condemned Tuesday's incursion, saying New Delhi had "endangered" peace in the region for political gains.

India's opposition leaders, many of whom have banded together against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), congratulated the Indian Air Force (IAF), though they stopped short of praising Modi.

The February 14 attack on Indian soldiers, in the Pulwama district, was claimed by Jaish-e-Mohammed, an Islamist extremist group based in Pakistan, although the suicide attacker came locally from Indian Kashmir.

Tensions in the contested region have run high for weeks ever since a suicide vehicle bombing of Indian military police killed 40.

Pakistan's military says Indian aircraft crossed into disputed airspace over the region of Kashmir, prompting Islamabad to scramble its own fighter jets in response. "The explosives that were employed were being used by the administration and security forces in occupied Kashmir, it didn't go there from Pakistan", Maj Gen Ghafoor said.

"Pakistan reserves the right to self-defence and respond to such aggression", he said.

The attack was claimed by JeM, prompting India to undertake a diplomatic campaign to isolate Pakistan and enact a range of other sanctions, including withdrawing Pakistan's Most-Favored Nation status.

New Delhi blames Pakistan for the attack - charges Islamabad denies. However, no casualties or damage was reported during the incident, DG ISPR added.

300 cars gutted in major fire at Air Show, no injuries reported
The report states that the fire could have been started by a lit cigarette that was disposed of carelessly onto a dry grass field. Hundreds of vehicles, including two-wheelers and cars, were seen parked in files in the open ground, surrounded by fire.

The latest assault - the deadliest in Indian Kashmir - led to widespread anger in India and calls for retaliation. After India strike, what can be Pakistan's options?

Moreover, the meeting strongly rejected India's claim of striking at alleged terrorists camps inside Pakistan.

"In light of these events, what benefit would Pakistan get from (involvement in) the Pulwama attack?" he questioned.

Pakistan says several Indian aircraft have breached the ceasefire line in disputed Kashmir and released payloads as they escaped back over the border. In a tweet Tuesday, he said, "Indian aircrafts intruded from Muzafarabad sector".

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo encouraged both countries to exercise restraint and avoid escalation.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif urged India to refrain from plunging the region into war.

Since 1989, rebels have been fighting against Indian control in Kashmir.

After India's air strikes in Balakot, Imran Khan also asked the armed forces and the people of Pakistan to remain "prepared for all eventualities".
