Former The Voice Season 13 contestant Janice Freeman died Saturday, March 2 in Pasadena, Calif. of a blood clot.

Janice was reportedlt at home with her husband, Dion, when she began to complain that she was unable to breathe.

Dion called 911 and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

During her life she was forced to overcome lupus, cervical cancer and meningitis.

Freeman was best known for being on the 13th season of "The Voice" TV singing competition in 2017 where she made it into the 11. After the show, Freeman stayed in touch with her coach Miley Cyrus.

The statement continued, "A survivor and fighter, and a lovely force in this world, Janice gained notoriety through her success on NBC's The Voice as a member of Miley Cyrus's team".

Victoria's Secret closing 53 stores in 2019
All of the closures will be in North America, and will see their actual square footage shrink by 3 per cent. The hard holiday period and planned store closures are the latest turmoil for the brand.

It's truly sad to lose Freeman's impressive vocal talents so soon; she was just 33 years old at the time of her passing yesterday. They rushed her to the hospital, but she passed away - and was officially pronounced dead at about 5:30 pm last night.

Freeman's friend Crystal Lewis, also a gospel singer, remembered Freeman on Instagram, writing, "We only met in person one time but we continued to communicate and I have to say few people IN MY WHOLE LIFE were as encouraging".

"Thank you ALL but she found us placement until we found permanent housing, gave me the deposit, covered me for 6 months so I can get on my feet!" And though she'd battled - and beaten - those, the blood clot unfortunately, apparently caused her untimely death.

Cyrus, 26, shared a sweet tribute to Freeman on her Instagram Sunday with a picture of a rainbow poking out above the trees.

Freeman's blind audition for "The Voice" saw her perform a rendition of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive", which turned Jennifer Hudson and Cyrus' chairs.
