Game Of Thrones Season 8 Official Trailer Teases An Epic Finale

The official trailer for the final season of "Game of Thrones" was released Tuesday - and it promised a dragon-packed climax to the popular HBO fantasy series.

And yet here we are, with around 90 seconds of new footage to obsess over. Are Jon and Daenerys approaching the living dragons in the aftermath of the battle for Winterfell, after dawn has come and the dragons have burned as numerous dead as they can? The first scene in the trailer depicts our Stark assassin petrified and seemingly trying to hold her breath, as if she's being hunted by something - and this scene would imply that it's now hot on her heels.

And, based on what we've learned so far of the upcoming final season, the producers are looking to meet the demand for action.

Game of Thrones season 8 returns April 14 on HBO in the U.S., and the next day on Sky Atlantic in the UK. The Night King and co. are on their way, and Winterfell might be running out of time.

Director Miguel Sapochnik thinks this may be the longest battle scene in cinematic history, and studied the 40-minute-long Battle of Helm's Deep in The Lord of the Rings; The Two Towers to determine how to avoid giving the audience "battle fatigue". "...nothing can prepare you for how physically draining it is", she told EW.

Lukaku scores brace, leads Man United to 3-2 win over Southampton
David de Gea will retain his place in goal, with fellow safe pair of hands Sergio Romero available to deputise from the bench if required.

The long-awaited six-episode finale to the hit show premiers on April 14, with fans eager to find out what happens to beloved characters such as Kit Harington's Jon Snow, and his new partner, Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen.

Does all of this sound in line with what you were hoping for in the Game of Thrones' last season?

It's the beginning of the end for Game of Thrones. While Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) had earlier revealed that the battles this season will make the iconic Battle of the Bastards look like a theme park, Entertainment Weekly has given us a brutal insight in its latest cover story.

The first trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 is finally here and you're going to want to watch it as soon as possible.

Of course, as the Night King, one resurrected dragon and a massive icy army flood towards breaching the Wall at the Seven Kingdoms' northern border, "spectacular" is the bare minimum expectation of fans around the globe. It was like it was created to make you think, Right, I'm f-king sick of this.
