Accused killer of rapper Nipsey Hussle pleads not guilty in LA

By now it should go without saying that Nipsey Hussle was one of the most beloved hip-hop artists across the globe, as even though he was defined by Los Angeles culture he was truly respected from coast-to-coast.

His bond has been set at $5 million.

A man suspected of killing Grammy-nominated rapper and community advocate Nipsey Hussle was charged with murder, the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office said.

Simpson, Chris Darden is back in the legal limelight in another controversial case- this time as a defense lawyer for the man charged in the murder of rapper and community advocate Nipsey Hussle.

If found guilty, he faces the maximum sentence of life in prison.

Police Say Nipsey Hussle Killing Tied To Personal Dispute, Not Gang Violence
Police said earlier that Holder was still at large, having fled the crime scene in a vehicle driven by an unidentified woman . New footage of rapper Nipsey Hussle's murder shows a clearer look at the violent shooting and the alleged suspect .

Eric Ronald Holder, 29, entered his pleas to murder and attempted murder charges through his attorney during a brief hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Darden tried unsuccessfully to prevent the media from filming his client during his arraignment on Thursday, arguing that there was an "issue of identity". The two victims are identified in the criminal complaint as Kerry Lathan and Shermi Cervabta Villanueva.

Local news reports said he was being kept in solitary confinement in jail for fear he might be attacked by other inmates. My sanctuary. My protector. "I would switch places with you any day the world need you here".

Authorities say Holder and Hussle, who knew each other, has several conversations Sunday outside the rapper's South LA clothing store.

"I got the Babies and L forever", he wrote.
